Theming and Scheming
I despair at writing themes for this blog. I've done it in the past, sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's a drag. Over the years, I've opted for simpler and simpler themes. And so, we land on this one.
This is about as simple as it gets.

I used the literal "simple" theme from Pelican git repo for the bones of the pages. This lays out some semantic HTML that does All The Things for a basic blog to run and be readable.

I've fallen back on using Kev Quirk's simple.css for the styling, with some overrides to suit my preferences. It has light and dark mode, but personally, I'm happiest with the dark mode version of the site.
I'll make some tweaks in the coming weeks, no doubt, but this is good to start.
